Labor Categories and Descriptions

Descriptions:

Administrative Assistant
Experience:One (1) year of experience in the administrative field.

Functional Responsibility: Supports the Project Manager or Task Manager by maintaining all project files, correspondence and schedules. Supports the development of reports and deliverables.

Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.


Installation Technician
Experience: One (1) year of experience.

Functional Responsibilities: Responds to technical hardware and software problems using a variety of testing tools and techniques. Provides support during a network outage and supports the server and connections. Installs new fiber cable to and from the server room. Also performs the installation, termination, and testing of fiber optic and UTP (Voice, Video, Data cables). The installation technician is used to respond to technical hardware and software problems using a variety of testing tools and techniques. Provides support during a network outage and supports the server and connections. This can involve installing new fiber cable to and from the server room.

Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.


Lead Installation Technician/Foreman
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in leading communications network cabling projects.

Functional Responsibilities: Provides on-site (field) supervision and technical support for the installation team. Installs, terminates and tests fiber optic and UTP (Voice, Video and Data cables) backbone and horizontal cables. Performs cabling infrastructure Moves, Adds, and Changes. Performs trouble shooting of cabling infrastructure problems.

Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.


Project Manager
Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a Project Manager.

Functional Responsibilities: Coordinates the entire project team to include engineering, drafting, technicians, and material control. Monitors for quality assurance for compliance with policies, procedures, contractural requirements, expenses, and workmanship standards. Submits weekly status reports to customer.

Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.


Project Supervisor
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in leading communications network cabling projects.

Functional Responsibilities: Manages personnel in daily on-site (field) activities over ther entire course of the project. Insures safety guidelines are met in areas where work is being performed. Meets with customer as required. Tracks and logs on-site (field) material and labor hours on a daily basis.

Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.


Web/Internet/Intranet Developer 1
Experience: Must have one (1) year of web development experience using current Web development and graphic tools. At least one (1) year of experience designing, developing and deploying Web sites and/or Web applications, including product selection, configuration, installation, maintenance, or site policy development. Can have experience developing Web pages using HTML, scripting languages, platform specific web development languages and relational databases.

Functional Responsibilities: Must be able to translate applications requirements into the design of web sites, including integrating web pages and applications. Must be able to apply new and emerging technologies to the development process.

Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.
